Dart Container to Support a Lisle Free Recycling Event for Foam, Batteries, Electronics, Paint & More  

Free event open for residents to recycle on Saturday, March 15th at Benedictine University.  

Lisle, IL – March 12, 2025 – Dart Container, a leading provider of sustainable food service packaging solutions, is proud to support a Sustainable Saturday collection event on Saturday, March 15 at Benedictine University in Lisle.   

The Village of Lisle is hosting this recycling event, with support from a Dart Container and other local partners, as a free community service to benefit the Lisle community.

Participation from vendors is essential to making this popular event a success. This is part of a series of recycling events across Illinois this spring and summer to provide a convenient way for residents to dispose of foam waste, electronics, paint and more.  

What: A free Lisle community event for the public to drop off items to recycle. Items accepted #6 foam, clean foodservice foam, electronics, rechargeable and household batteries, bicycles, textiles, latex paint, household items, CFL bulbs, and more.

TVs and monitors will be accepted for a fee of $25 – $35 depending on size. Participants will also be able to bring paper documents for shredding on site. For a full list of accepted items and more information, Click This Link.

This event will be in place of the March Quarterly Electronics Recycling Event that occurs in Downtown Lisle.

When: Saturday March 15, 2025, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Due to anticipated large traffic volume, there may be periodic delays. If capacity is reached prior to noon, the event may close early. 

Where: Benedictine University’s Rice Parking Lot, 5700 College Rd, Lisle, IL 60532. Cars must enter campus at Maple Ave, west of the University and exit to College Rd northeast of the parking lot. No public restrooms are provided. 

Who: Village of Lisle, Benedictine University, DuPage County, SCARCE, Lisle Township and LRS
