Village of Orland Park Board Meeting Brief for November 2, 2026

Since the expulsion of disgraced former Mayor Keith Pekau by newly elected Mayor Jim Dodge, the Village of Orland Park has been more open, more responsive to FOIA’s, non-combative toward citizens and taxpayers, and far more respectful.

Under Dodge and the more responsive new board majority, the Village now posts Board Meeting summaries to help taxpayers and citizens better understand the issues.

Under Dodge, the Village of Orland Park is far more transparent, open, and responsive to the concerns of all taxpayers and citizens, not just to the ones who supported the former mayor.

Below, from the village, is the link to the very informative board meeting summary that was released for the November 2, 2026 board meeting.

The Board Meeting Brief is designed to keep residents informed of key outcomes, discussions and decisions from recent meetings. Every other week, following the Village Board meetings, the Brief will be emailed to residents and will provide a high-level summary of the important actions taken during the Committee of the Whole, the Board of Trustees Meeting and the Plan Commission.

Periodically, updates from other boards and commissions will also be included. If you are able, I invite you to attend one of our upcoming meetings. The Committee of the Whole and the Board of Trustees meetings are scheduled on the first and third Monday of each month. The Plan Commission meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month.

If you are unable to attend a meeting, recordings of the meetings are always available on the Village’s YouTube channel.

We want to hear from you. If you have any comments or suggestions for improvements or additions to future briefs, please email us at [email protected].
