Summer concert series starts tonight
By Steve Metsch
Countryside will provide a diverse soundtrack for this summer with a series of free concerts through August.
The “Countryside All Stars” summer concert series will be in Countryside Park on 61st Street, a half-block east of Brainard Avenue. Opening acts start at 6 p.m. Headliners perform are from 7 to 9 p.m. Each night, a local restaurant will be there selling food.
Each All-Star night will also feature a Chicago sport team with raffles and giveaways of team-related items. Folks are invited to wear team gear on each night. For example, look for plenty of World Champion gear tonight when the Chicago Cubs are the featured team.
