Countryside offers free music
Summer concert series starts tonight

Countryside will provide a diverse soundtrack for this summer with a series of free concerts through August.
The “Countryside All Stars” summer concert series will be in Countryside Park on 61st Street, a half-block east of Brainard Avenue. Opening acts start at 6 p.m. Headliners perform are from 7 to 9 p.m. Each night, a local restaurant will be there selling food.
Each All-Star night will also feature a Chicago sport team with raffles and giveaways of team-related items. Folks are invited to wear team gear on each night. For example, look for plenty of World Champion gear tonight when the Chicago Cubs are the featured team.
Here’s the lineup with the headliners, opening act, food vendor, team and date:
Strung Out with opening act The Stingrays, food by Pisa Pizza, featured team Chicago Cubs, June 8.
Modern Day Romeos with opening act Jesse White Tumblers, Kenny’s Irish Pub, Chicago Bulls, June 15.
Mason Rivers with opening act 45 RPM Band, Chick-Fil-A, Chicago Bears, June 22.
Shindig! with opening act 3 A.M., Pisa Pizza, Chicago Fire, June 29.
Corey Dennison Band with opening act Orange Star, food TBA, Schaumburg Boomers, July 6.
The Four C Notes with opening act Joe Elvis Tirrito, Chick-Fil-A, Chicago Sky, July 20.
Lincoln Didn’t Die, with opening act Evil Burrito, Ledo’s Pizza, Chicago Blackhawks, July 27. There will be fireworks after the concert.
Cadillac Grove with opening act Rosie and the Rivets, Ledo’s Pizza, Chicago White Sox, Aug 3. Sox mascot Southpaw is scheduled to attend.
Guests are urged to bring lawn chairs and/or blankets. Parking is available on local streets.
