Orland Township Democratic Organization to honor Former Secretary of State Jesse White on Feb. 23

The Orland Township Democratic Organization will honor former Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White at a fundraiser to be held on Thursday, February 23 at Papa Joe’s Orland Park Restaurant.
The event, which begins at 6 PM, will also feature U.S. Congressman Sean Casten, Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle and Illinois Senator Michael Hastings along with local candidates and officials.
Orland Township Democratic Committeeperson Beth McElroy Kirkwood said that the event is intended to showcase the successes and strength of Democratic voters in Orland Township.
“Orland Township is the cornerstone of progressive and solid leadership that is dedicated to supporting candidates and office holders who put the interests of the residents first and foremost,” Kirkwood said.
“White spent 24 years as our Secretary of State and did so much to provide services to the taxpayers and residents throughout the state including Orland Township and we want to take a moment to acknowledge his achievements.”
Kirkwood praised White for implementing the program to expand the Secretary of State’s office services to local communities including in the Village of Orland Park.
“We have some great and very strong candidates representing the best interests and the needs of our citizens and we want to bring them together to celebrate their dedication to serving the people,” Kirkwood added.
Tickets for the event are $75 each. Kirkwood said the Fundraiser will feature an Ad Book. Ads are $350 each and will also be featured on the Orland Township Democratic Organizations website. The Ad deadline is Friday, Feb. 17.
