Dad fears losing son after ex-wife accuses him of child endangerment
By Laura Reichel
A loving dad was in the middle of a long and bitter divorce over his four-year-old son. His ex-wife had made numerous claims against him.
Despite these attacks, Dad has fought to remain connected with his son.
Out of the blue, the father was served with a Motion to Restrict Parenting Time claiming his child was in danger of falling out of a 15th floor condo window in his home due to his reckless conduct.
Attorney and Litigation Director Art Kallow of the Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving Ltd. will talk about this complex custody case involving horrific allegations on the Dads’ Rights Legal Hour, 9-10 a.m. CDT Saturday, June 1st, on Power 92.3 FM and available for download on the Dad’s Rights Legal Hour Spotify page on dadsrights.com.
The Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) began investigating this father after it was reported his child was in danger of falling out of the window in Dad’s condo. The mother of the child proceeded against the father in court, seeking to restrict his parenting time altogether.
Dad was terrified of losing his little boy and immediately called the Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving Ltd. The Leving litigation team assured Dad that they would fight for him and his son andimmediately went to court and fiercely defended this concerned father.
In court, the Leving team skillfully cross examined the key witness to this case who testified against Dad, who admitted not having a clear view of the window and could not say with certainty that the child had been unsupervised. The team’s compelling evidence and skillful litigation was enough to convince the judge to deny the mother’s Motion filed against Dad. The Leving team won.
“This court victory, modified for broadcast, was crucial to attaining victory for this loving father, in spite of the attack. Dad’s greatest fear was losing his son, but our court victory gave Dad the hope he so desperately needed,” said Jeffery Leving.
