Cicero Police arrest and charge two suspects in Dec. 26 killing of Alejandro Trujillo
– Charged with First Degree Murder and Aggravated Vehicular Hijacking are Jason I. Eady of Chicago and Isaac Vaca Hernandez of Burbank
Cicero, IL. – The Cicero Police Department announces the arrest of Jason I. Eady and Isaac Vaca Hernandez for the Murder of Alejandro Trujillo of Cicero.
On December 26th, 2023 at approximately 4:33 pm, Officers responded to a call of shots fired at the corner of 19th St. and 49th Ave. Cicero IL. When officers arrived, they located a male adult victim (Alejandro Trujillo) with multiple gunshot wounds. Police Officers and Fire Department Paramedics provided initial and immediate trauma first aid to the victim. The victim was transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
After a thorough investigation by Cicero Police Detectives and members of the Cicero Police Department’s Special Operations Division, with the assistance of the West Suburban Major Crimes Task Force (WESTAF), investigators were able to identify Jason EADY and Isaac VACA HERNANDEZ as the offenders.
EADY, of Chicago, was taken into custody, by Cicero Police Detectives and members of the Cicero Police Special Operations Division, near a residence in Lombard, IL on December 28th, 2023.
VACA HERNANDEZ, of Burbank, IL., was taken into custody, by the Cicero Police Department’s Special Operations Division and Chicago Police, at a residence in Chicago, on January 12, 2024.
The Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office ultimately reviewed the case and approved one count of First Degree Murder (Class M felony) and one count of Aggravated Vehicular Hijacking (Class X felony) against EADY and VACA HERNANDEZ.
Members of the public are reminded that these complaints contain only charges and are not proof of the defendant’s guilt. A defendant is presumed innocent and is entitled to a fair trial in which it is the government’s burden to prove his or her guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
