New parenting schedule brings peace to dad and kids

When a couple divorce or separate, it can be difficult to maintain a safe family dynamic when children are involved. One dangerous factor that can damage a father’s ability to secure a stable family dynamic with his children is parental alienation.
Parental alienation refers to the actions by which one parent actively undermines and damages the relationship between the other parent and their children, typically during or after a separation or divorce.
The Leving legal team won in court to help a loving father who was being set up so his children would be alienated against him.
Chicago matrimonial attorney Jeffery Leving, President of the Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving Ltd. will talk about this important case on the Dads’ Rights Legal Hour, 9-10 a.m. CST Saturday, March 1ston Power 92.3 FM.
This show segment will be available for download on the Dads’ Rights Legal Hour Spotify page on dadsrights.com.
Dad has two boys, ages nine and twelve. The children were traveling back and forth between their parents’ homes multiple times a week, having difficulty getting “settled in” to each home. Reportedly, the mother, in cahoots with her new boyfriend, liked to goad dad into arguments, wrongfully call the police on him, and then try to convince the children that their father was abusive.
This is a prime example of parental alienation, where the mother attempted to unjustly portray this caring father as neglectful and a danger to his children. This was a terrible and unjust situation for this devoted dad. Not only did he risk losing his children if the police believed his ex’s story, but the mother’s actions could have serious long-term consequences for the children as well. The children could possibly lose their father, who deeply cares for them, and the loss of their father could have disastrous effects on the children’s psychological health.
Worried for his children and scared of possibly losing them, dad decided to call attorney Jeffery M. Leving. Attorney Leving assured dad that the Leving legal team would fight to protect both him and his children. The Leving legal team did so and won.
The Leving legal team forcefully argued that the children should be on a week-on/week-off schedule, with pickup and drop-off at the children’s school. This would protect dad from being set up by the mother and her new boyfriend and prevent the children from seeing any animosity directed at harming their father.
The mother resisted, but once the Leving legal team convinced the court-appointed guardian ad litem, the mother reluctantly agreed, and the agreement was approved by the judge. This was an excellent strategic victory in the courtroom for the Leving team, modified for publication, and a very important victory for dad and his sons. Dad will no longer have to deal directly with his ex and her boyfriend, who apparently know precisely how to agitate him, and more importantly, the children no longer have to see their father maligned and attacked. A victory that brought peace to dad and his kids.
Matrimonial attorney Jeffery M. Leving is the recipient of the U.S. President’s Lifetime Achievement Award. In addition, the Illinois House of Representatives has honored Leving “for his work in safeguarding the rights of fathers and protecting the welfare of children and families in this State,” and the Illinois Senate issued a proclamation recognizing his efforts on behalf of fathers.
