Supervisor O’Grady hosts COVID booster clinic, and Fabulous February craft show

Orland Township Hosts another successful COVID-19 Booster Clinic. hosts. Nearly 100 residents arrived to receive their dose; Orland Township hosts “Feel Fabulous February” Orland Township’s Winter craft show offers an evening of relaxation.

Nearly 100 residents arrived at Orland Township on Wednesday, Jan. 12, to receive a dose of the COVID-19 booster shot in the Township Activity Center.

Thanks to the joint effort of Orland Township and Jewel-Osco, attendees had the choice between the Pfizer and Moderna boosters, along with access to an optional flu shot.

Over the last week, the Township managed set up a registration process for all residents, giving them access to an opportunity not all are aware of. Jewel-Osco pharmacists were on site administering the vaccines to the residents as they arrived.

“As we traverse our way through yet another stage in the pandemic, we must continue to put the health and safety of our residents first. Orland Township is happy to have had another chance to help distribute COVID-19 boosters,” Orland Township Supervisor Paul O’Grady said. “We’re continuously grateful for the efforts of Jewel-Osco, since they’re always able to make these events happen.”

Orland Township’s Feel Fabulous February

Orland Township’s Winter craft show offers an evening of relaxation.

 Looking for an evening of relaxation, tasty treats, and a bit of “retail therapy”? Then save the date for Feel Fabulous February, Orland Township’s winter craft show!

The fair will feature local businesses, crafters, and vendors, who will offer products ranging from cosmetics, custom drinkware, pet treats, and other miscellaneous goods. Guests will also have the opportunity to sample delectable hors d’oeuvres from several local eateries.

Feel Fabulous February will take place on Thursday, Feb. 10, from 6 – 9 p.m., at the Orland Township building, 14807 S. Ravinia Ave., Orland Park. A five-dollar fee is required for entry, and all proceeds will benefit the Orland Township Scholarship Foundation. Furthermore, those interested in attending the event as a vendor may contact Gina Chigaros at (708) 403-4222, or by email at [email protected].

“Feel Fabulous February is one of the many new events our residents have to look forward to this year.” Said Supervisor Paul O’Grady. “I highly encourage everyone come out to see what we’ll have to offer.”

In accordance with the CCDPH Mitigation Order 2021-11, a valid photo ID along with a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention vaccination card, photo of a vaccination card, digital record of a vaccination card or printed record of a vaccination card are required for entry. Additionally, any individual aged two and older and able to medically tolerate a mask shall be required to wear a mask when indoors in a public place, regardless of vaccination status; except when eating or drinking while stationary.
