Newman urges removal of Marjorie Taylor Greene
Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene is one of the leading voices amongst the far-right GOP officials responsible for aiding President Trump’s betrayal of our democracy and inciting the insurrectionist attack on January 6th.
She has repeatedly used social media to support calls to execute Democratic officials and promote white supremacist QAnon conspiracy theories — and continues to target Democratic congress members of color in person, forcing my colleague Congresswoman Cori Bush to move offices out of concern for her safety.
Marjorie Taylor Greene has harassed victims of the Parkland school shooting and spread vile misinformation that the deeply traumatic event was staged — and will now be making decisions about our children’s education as a member of the Education Committee.
She represents an active threat to our government and to the American people.

This kind of disgusting behavior and violent hate speech wouldn’t be allowed in an elementary school. It wouldn’t be allowed in your workplace. It should NOT be allowed in the United States Congress.
Greene’s words have had real consequences for the safety and wellbeing of those around her. Now they must have real consequences for her.
