Orland Park opens recreational services as state modifies coronavirus restrictions
As Illinois’ modified stay-at-home takes effect, Recreation and Parks provides an update regarding programs and services
- Tennis and Pickleball Courts Open For Singles Play
- Frisbee Golf and Dog Park Open with Restrictions
Governor Pritzker’s modified stay-at-home order took effect May 1 and runs through the end of May. The modified stay-at-home order lifts some restrictions while maintaining others. For example, golf courses are permitted to reopen under safety guidelines provided by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) and when ensuring that social distancing is followed.
As a result of this order, and Governor Pritzker’s newly released five phase ‘Restore Illinois’ plan, the Orland Park Recreation and Parks Department is providing the following update regarding programs and services.
- Recreation and Parks programs and services are subject to change as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak and the changing phases of the ‘Restore Illinois’ plan.
- Social distancing should be practiced at all times and face masks should be worn per the Governor’s Executive Order if the 6 feet needed for proper social distancing cannot be achieved.
- Please adhere to all Centers for Disease Control guidelines when visiting these spaces. This includes practicing social distancing and not gathering in groups.
- Wash your hands or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer regularly.
