Orland Park Police held their annual National Night Out event on Tuesday evening Aug 1st at the village’s civic center located at 147th and Ravinia Ave.

It was an opportunity for everyone to interact with the police officers and enjoy entertainment which included a DJ, a martial arts student performing and Orland Park Police K-9 demonstration as well as a raffle. Several police and fire department vehicles were on hand for children to sit inside them.

The event is held to promote and increase awareness about local community police programs, such as drug prevention, neighborhood watch and other anti-crime efforts.
