Orland Township Honors Volunteers
April 20 was proclaimed Volunteer Appreciation Day in Orland Township.
In honor of Volunteer Appreciation Day, Orland Township hosted a ‘Berry Sweet’ volunteer appreciation dinner on Wednesday, April 20, at RoccoVino’s in Orland Park, to celebrate the contributions of the many volunteers that dedicate their time and service to the Township.
Volunteers are one of the most vital parts of Orland Township. Over 70 individuals annually devote their free time to assist in several different departments.
Whether they choose to help in the Township’s Food Pantry, or as a member of Health or Senior Services, all volunteers contribute to the enrichment of our community and make Orland Township a better place to live.
Supervisor O’Grady thanked the volunteers for their many contributions that contributed to the mission of Orland Township over the past year.
“Volunteers are the heart and soul of the Township,” said Supervisor O’Grady. “If it wasn’t for all of you, we would never be able to accomplish everything we do at the Township. On behalf of a grateful community, thank you.”
