Leving Team Stops Mom from Running Off with Dad’s Kids

A desperate father turned to Attorney Jeffery M. Leving for help fearing he would lose his children forever.

The children were living with their dad, however, everything suddenly changed. It was reported that the mother was going to take the children and disappear forever, leaving dad with no way to ever see them again and remain part of their lives.

He was terrified and knew he needed help fast. The Leving team dropped everything and fought for him, and won.

The Leving litigation team assured dad that he had come to the right place. They gave dad the hope he so desperately needed and litigated the case to victory.

From the beginning, the stakes were high. Despite having a court ordered parenting time schedule in place, the Leving team feared a real and immediate risk existed that the children could be severed from dad’s life forever. They acted quickly to bring the matter before the court to prevent any attempt to take the boys from dad and their home in Illinois.

The fight wasn’t easy but the Leving team refused to give up. They prepared and presented a powerful and compelling case demonstrating that the children’s stability, safety, and well-being were best protected in their dad’s care and not in losing him. Dad was awarded sole decision-making authority and exclusive parenting time of both children. The mother was awarded no parenting time and is prohibited by the court from removing the children from Illinois or she will face jail time. The Leving team won.

This was a powerful court victory modified for publication. The Leving team protected dad’s rights and secured the stability these two boys so desperately needed. If dad had not come to Leving when he did, he may have lost his sons forever.
