Leving Team’s Court Victory Protected Dad’s Daughter and Her Future
By Laura Reichel
The greatest treasure a father can have is time with his child. Yet, too often that bond is threatened—by fear, by conflict, and by circumstances beyond his control.
One devoted father was deeply worried about his six-year-old daughter’s safety. Determined to protect her, he sought attorney Jeffery Leving’s help to bring her home.
The Leving legal team fought fiercely for dad and his daughter and won. The court granted dad primary residential custody, ensuring that his little girl will live safely with him.
Chicago based matrimonial attorney Jeffery Leving, President of the Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving Ltd., will talk about this important court victory on the Dads’ Rights Legal Hour, 9-10 a.m. CDT Saturday, April 4thon Power 92.3 FM.
This show segment will be available for download on the Dads’ Rights Legal Hour’s Spotify page on dadsrights.com. Listen to this radio show to follow Leving’s fight to protect children everywhere and share this victory and connect on Instagram @dadsrights.
The little girl primarily lived with her mother and spent weekends with dad under an informal parenting schedule. Dad reported that the mother had begun interfering with his time with his daughter and, even more troubling, he suspected the mother was neglecting his little girl.
Furthermore, dad feared the mother’s neighborhood had a very high overall violent crime rate. Dad claimed the neighborhood’s crime was heavily tied to gang activity and he believed the mother was unable to protect his daughter from becoming a victim. He was worried that if his daughter continued living there, she could be placed in harm’s way. Determined to protect her, this loving father knew he had to act before it was too late.
The Leving legal team listened to dad’s concerns and assured him that they had the necessary skills and experience for cases like this. Dad retained them and they skillfully litigated this case to victory.
The Leving legal team acted swiftly, arguing dad’s case before the court without delay. They presented compelling evidence showing why the little girl’s safety and well-being depended on living with dad.
The court appointed guardian ad litem’s report supported their arguments, confirming the reported dangers in the little girl’s current home and recommending that it was in the child’s best interest to be with her father. They won. The judge ordered that the child be immediately transferred to her father’s custody and that she remain in his care.
This important court victory modified for publication not only protected a little girl from harm but was a powerful reminder that fathers play an essential role in protecting and nurturing their children. This court victory underscores the Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving, Ltd.’s unwavering commitment to fighting for the safety, stability, and love every child deserves.
