Orland Township Youth Commission Summer Picnic
Orland Township’s Youth Commission offers food trucks, games, and fun at upcoming Summer Picnic.
Are you in 6th grade or higher? Earn community service hours while having fun by attending the Orland Township Youth Commission Summer Picnic!
The Orland Township Youth Commission (OTYC) is a “community service group” that encourages local youth to help others while teaching them essential life skills.
Orland Township is dedicated to supporting the youth of our community and encouraging young men and women to become motivated and responsible young adults.
The goal of the Summer Picnic is to gather students between the 6th and 12th grades for an evening of socialization with fellow peers and to learn about the amazing opportunities of OTYC.
Prior to COVID, the Orland Township Youth Commission provided opportunities to earn community service hours, as well as engage in the community by volunteering, fundraising, and participating in seasonal recreational activities.
“A summer picnic is a great way to revive the Orland Township Youth Commission.” Said Supervisor Paul O’Grady.
“Students within Orland Township will have plenty of opportunities to learn about getting involved with their community and to meet other local youth just by attending this one event. I encourage them all to come out and see what it’s like to be a member!”
The Summer Picnic will be held on Thursday, June 22, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Orland Township, 14807 S. Ravinia Ave. in Orland Park.
There will be plenty of food trucks, games, and fun at this event! Admission is free, and attending students will receive 2 community service hours. Be sure to RSVP to Gina at ginac@orlandtownship.org or call (708) 403-4222.
