Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani’s Transition Team Launches Resume Portal for New Administration
Mamdani’s transition opens application process to receive applicants interested in serving in the Mamdani Administration
Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani’s transition team launched on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025 the Transition 2025 resume portal for applicants of all experience levels to help build an administration of public servants that will drive down costs and keep all New Yorkers safe.
The transition team, led by Co-chairs Grace Bonilla, Lina Khan, Maria Torres-Springer, and Melanie Hartzog, and Transition Executive Director Elana Leopold, will accept all backgrounds and experience levels — from seasoned policy professionals to entry-level workers looking to build their careers while helping deliver on the affordability agenda.
The resume portal underscores Mamdani’s approach to the transition, one rooted in transparency and a steady connection to the coalition that got him elected.
“My team and I will build a City Hall capable of delivering on the promises of this campaign,” said Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani at a news conference in front of the Unisphere at Flushing Meadows-Corona Park.

“We will form an administration that is capable and compassionate, driven by integrity, and willing to work just as hard as the millions of New Yorkers who call this city home.”
“To build a team of top talent, we need to search far and wide — which is why we are calling on New Yorkers across the five boroughs to share their backgrounds with us and join our movement to deliver a city we can afford,” said Transition Executive Director Elana Leopold. “As we begin the transition to a new era, this resume portal will allow us to roll up our sleeves, hit the ground running, and enact the agenda that got Zohran elected.”
The transition team is looking to build an administration characterized by a record of excellence and dedication to meeting the moment with bold, innovative solutions to shape the future of our city. From all corners of the city — community organizers, policy experts, seasoned government professionals, and working New Yorkers — the team is looking for experienced applicants who can hit the ground running to deliver Mamdani’s affordability agenda.
