Chicago House soccer faces L.A. Force Sunday Nov. 6

The House Open Up A Three-Game, Three-Week Home Slate In The Month Of November At SeatGeek Stadium On Saturday

Chicago House AC returns home to SeatGeek Stadium in what will be the first of a final three-match homestand. First, up will be a rematch against the LA Force.

The kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 pm CST. Initially, this match was supposed to be played at home on September 17 but was rescheduled due to a resodding project at SeatGeek Stadium.

The teams elected to swap home matches, and last time out in Los Angeles, CA, the House faced the Force, and Christian Chaney scored off a set piece to clinch the win for LA back on September 16th.

The House will be looking to avenge that loss at home this time around as they look to finish the fall season strong.

The House comes into this match off a frustrating 2-0 loss to Chattanooga FC midweek on the road as they look to get back on track with their last three matches at home.

The LA Force also had a midweek matchup, defeating the Maryland Bobcats FC 2-1, and hasn’t lost since September 25th. The House sits in 9th place in the 2021 NISA fall table with 17 points, while the LA Force is in 2nd place with 29 points.

The coaches feel positive, and the players are motivated and want to put on a stellar performance in front of their fans.

Chicago House AC defender, John Requejo, Jr. gave insights on his experience with the club and knows what is at stake in this upcoming match.

“It’s been a great experience, and I love Chicago and love being with the team,” said Requejo, Jr. “I’m excited I get to play now and enjoy the game again and be on the field with the guys. We’re hoping to get a W against the LA Force, move up the table, and keep winning to get a W in our last three home matches.”

Chicago House AC defender, Anthony Bowie shared his takeaways from our last matchup against the LA Force and what they’ve worked on to prepare this time around.
“I thought we played them pretty tough the first time we played them as it was 1-0 on a set-piece,” said Bowie. “We need to stay focused as a team on the set pieces defensively. With our tactics going forward, we’re in a much better place in terms of goal scoring. I think we’re going to get a few goals, and we’re excited for another opportunity to play them again and get the revenge.”

Head Coach and Technical Director, C.J. Brown elaborated on his team’s growth since their last matchup against the LA Force.

“I felt this team has grown,” said Coach Brown. “We’ve become a better team with the ball. I think it started after that matchup, and we figured out how to play between the lines and our new formation, which helps a lot. We’ll look to capitalize on those opportunities in a lot of those moments. Most important for us is to continue to be who we are, trying to play and keep the ball moving, and play through the midfield. I think we will get chances on goal and will be aggressive because it’s a home match. At the end of the day, we were at the bottom of the table, we got nothing to lose, and we need to win. The guys are excited and like to play a good game of football, and it looks like we’ll get a chance to do that against the LA Force.”

Coach Brown also expressed what he has had his team focus on since they’ve returned from their two-match road trip.

“The biggest focus is trying to get our legs back under us,” said Coach Brown. We’ve had a long week of travel and one good result and one bad result. The bad results sit in the wrong place for us, so hopefully, we’ll think about it the next day or so and be ready to play an exciting game against the LA Force. They’re a talented team that’s good with the ball, and it will be fun to see if we can play actual soccer with them.”
