More endorsements for Nonato for Water Reclamation District

Fundraiser set for September 26th in Park Ridge at 1 PM

Cristina Nonato who is running for the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District is hosting a fundraiser on Sept. 26th at 1130 N. Northwest Highway in Parkridge. Tickets are $75 each with sponsorships available for $$500, 1,000 and $2,500.

Nonato would be the region’s first Filipina American to hold public office on a county wide level in Cook County.

Cristina Nonato has worked for the Circuit Court of Cook County for 12 years. Working her way all the way up to management. During this time she met many people and found her inspiration to work for the MWRD.

From making sure people people had food to helping people get tested and vaccinated. She has been consistently involved in helping communities full of diverse backgrounds. She has been proving herself to be a woman of action, integrity, and leadership.

She intends to hire the best engineer and scientist to reduce flooding in low income communities. Her main focus is safe and clean water for our wellness and health.

Being the commissioner of the MWRD makes you responsible for how water is recycled. This also makes you responsible for making sure bacteria in the water is being controlled. One of Cristina’s main priority’s to insure the water is safe for us and our environment. In the past there has been poor monitoring and record keeping. That lead to not analyzing the low performance of our equipment. Cristina plans to hire the best engineers and scientists under her supervision to maintain our water reclamation. Vote for Cristina, a Filipina woman of action.

Endorsement from the International Pentecostal Assemblies Fellowship, 283 E. 14th St. (Lincoln Hwy.) in Chicago Heights.

Chief Apostle Dr. William. McCoy wrote:

“We at the IPA Fellowship endorses the candidacy of Christina Nonato for the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District Board of Trustees. Christina’s main priority is to ensure that the water is safe for our consumption and that it is safe for the environment. Christina believes that maintaining key infrastructure at the water treatment plants, pump stations, improvement of water aeration and the reservoirs will enable Illinois to lead the way in resource recovery. Christina is hoping to transform the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District into a utility of the future by providing reliable service for our communities.

“IPA Fellowship Network is a conglomerate of various churches from the surrounding communities and various denominations dedicated to serving the people providing spiritual enrichment, development of job skill and employment opportunities. Christina has been an active volunteer for the IPA Fellowship Network helping the community since 2010. Christina has been proving herself to be a woman of poise, action, integrity and leadership. Vote for Christina Nonato, a Filipina woman of action.”
