Political Pundit: Mayor Pekau’s strategy to lower the rising COVID-19 infections
Mayor Keith Pekau in his Village of Orland Park Youtube Channel video assault on truth, the facts and his critics, argues that the driving force behind rising COVID-19 numbers is “testing.” He says testing is inconsistent and that we should not be misled by the inconsistent rising numbers reported by the media or the governor

Orland Park Mayor Keith Pekau released another video in which he confronts issues that he disagrees with and personally attacks the individuals, all Orland Park taxpayers, who disagree with him.
In his video, Pekau says:
“I wanted to take this opportunity to give you more than just an update to the numbers. I realize that when you look at these numbers as much as I do, it is easy to forget that not everyone does the same. Also, since the trustees and I use this information to make decisions, it is important to explain how I use the data and why I prioritize some information over others. Having a better understanding of the data is important to making informed decisions related to COVID-19 that are based on knowledge and respect, rather than emotion and fear. … “
“Cases are what we regularly hear about from the press and from the governor. For me, cases do not really tell the story for several reasons. The shere number of tests — the more we test the more cases we have. … “
“Many people who test positive test positive multiple times … which will obviously inflate the numbers … this is obviously problematic.”
Hospitals don’t report their tests consistently, he argues. People test multiple times, he says.
Only test the “sickest persons” to determine the real threat, he argues.
“Positivity rates don’t actually give us an accurate picture.”
