It’s never about who’s best in national elections

It’s never about who’s best in national elections

You can pretty much tell how strong Michael Bloomberg is as a candidate against Donald Trump by all the efforts that democrats, and local liberal news media, are making to disparage him. They definitely don’t want Bloomberg to win the Democratic nomination, just like the news media doesn’t want Donald Trump to be re-elected. Fortunately the news media may have the greatest influence on the country, they don’t run the country and Americans can still think for themselves, if they want to.

But, when you look at the narrowing field of candidates, you can see that none of the Democrats have a chance of defeating Trump, who is definitely a mix of good and bad.

Trump’s good? He boosted the economy, stirred American away from unemployment and has taken some tough stands against corrupt regimes like China, forcing them through a treacherous strategy to bend.

Trump’s bad? Well, he just can’t keep his mouth shut and says whatever he feels, even when it is disgusting, stupid and well, reflecting bad on him.

But Trump was definitely the better option than Hillary Clinton back in 2016. Clinton was as phony and morally corrupt as they come. She was arrogant and “entitled,” and she got what was coming to her.

Still, even though Hillary was bad, Trump is a mix of good and bad.

Bloomberg on the other hand pretty much offers the Reagan Democrats their only real option in the November 2020 election.

If Bloomberg wins the Democratic Party nomination, I am pretty certain that he will beat Trump. I can’t see Trump correcting his ways in time to save his administration. Of course if Bernie Sanders, Pete Buttigieg, Joe Biden or Elizabeth Warren win, well, it will just be another Trump-Clinton contest that Trump will definitely win.

Biden is a horrible candidate. His past stumbles make him an embarrassment as a candidate. And despite any efforts Trump did or did not take to expose Biden’s son, clearly Biden’s son needed to be exposed and his corruption needed to be investigated, something that now will not happen because of the failed impeachment effort by the Democrats.

Warren is not that good either. She seems to be a hypocrite, flipping on many issues. Buttigieg is too new, and he flips a lot too, but Sanders, who was my choice over Hillary Clinton in the Democratic Primary in 2016 was a great alternative then but is now probably too much in the pocket of the far left. He’s not going to beat Trump at all.

So, if you want Trump to really lose, you would back Bloomberg. But, if you are really hoping to see Trump lose at the hands of one of the same-old, same old candidates like Sanders, Buttigieg Biden or Warren, don’t hold your breath. I’d hate to see you get blue in the face.

November’s election is surely as toss up at this point, not because of Trump’s controversial and divisive policies but because the National Democrats continue to mislead and deceive the public. If you think the Republicans are dishonest, don’t even argue that the Democrats, on the national level, are not.

I would love to see Trump get his act together and be a better president. Quit hiding behind the veneer of “patriotism.” You didn’t serve in the military at any time and neither did any of your privileged kids, Mr. President. So how can you wrap yourself up in Patriotism when the opportunity to be truly patriotic passed yu by without even an effort.

Trump’s policies on immigration have some basis, but he’s just not good at conveying them. For example, it is wrong for illegal immigrants with criminal pasts to enter this country. But not all illegal immigrants are criminals. They just want a better life and we should fix up the system that the Democrats have helped destroy through their own failures.

Trump just can’t get himself to say the right things and see immigration in the proper light. He panders to the fears of the country’s majority population rather than being a leader.

When the Democrats had the power to change the country’s immigration system, they didn’t. Why? Because Democrats needed an unsolved issue that they could wave in the air like a battle sword to distract voters away from their own failed policies.

In the end, the national election choices stink. Both sides are hypocrites driven by emotion and anger and even hate. The fact that the news media has compromised its ethnics and taken sides does bother me. They deserve to be criticized.

But we can only vote the choices that we are left with. There is not “best.” We only get “better.” And the one we are forced to chose might still be below what we deserve.
