Former Chicago City Hall reporter hosts politics podcast
Ray Hanania, a former Chicago City Hall reporter, and political columnist during the 1970s, 80s, and 90s, has launched a new podcast available for free on most podcat systems.
Called “Ray Hanania on Politics,” the podcast is recorded several times each week and addresses mainstream American politics from developments in Chicagoland to the nation’s capital.
The “Ray Hanania on Politics” podcast is available through iTunes, Podbean, Anchor, Google podcasts, Spotify, Breaker, Overcast, Pocket Casts and RadioPublic as well as through Hanania’s host podcast website at www.RayHananiaOnPolitics.com.
Hanania also hosts a Middle East podcast that is also available on iTunes, Podbean and other major podcast sites called “Ray Hanania’s Mainstream and Middle East” podcast.
The most recent podcast takes listeners back to the late 1970s and the election of Jane M. Byrne as Chicago’s first woman mayor. Hanania talks about how Byrne launched her campaign, the battles she fought with Mayor Michael A. Bilandic and the “cabal of evil men,” her label for the three aldermen who ran Bilandic’s administration, Ed “Fast Eddie” Vrdolyak, Edward M. Burke and Outfit alderman Fred Roti.
