Leving Team Reunited Dad and Son After Cross-State Abduction
By Laura Reichel
The Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving, Ltd. secured a powerful victory for a Chicago father and his young son—bringing a little boy home after he was reported to have been taken and hidden from his dad hundreds of miles away in Tennessee.
This case began with urgency and uncertainty.
Dad’s son had reportedly been abducted, leaving a desperate father searching for answers and fearing the worst. Dad refused to give up and neither did the Leving legal team.
The Leving team fought for them and won, locating the little boy, reuniting him with his dad, and ensuring dad and his son could live together without fear of losing each other again.

Chicago based matrimonial Attorney Jeffery Leving, President of the Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving Ltd., will talk about this important court victory on the Dads’ Rights Legal Hour, 9-10 a.m. CDT Saturday, May 16th on Power 92.3 FM. Dad was desperate and called attorney Jeffery Leving for help. Attorney Leving gave dad the hope he desperately needed, helping him take the first step toward bringing his son home. The Leving legal team, led by Attorney and Litigation Director Arthur Kallow, took immediate action. They obtained an Emergency Court Order from an Illinois court requiring the mother return the little boy to his dad. This was the critical first step in reuniting this family, but it was only the beginning. The Leving team still had to find dad’s son.
Locating the little boy and enforcing the Court Order was strategically difficult. However, failure was not an option. Thanks to the critical investigative assistance of the firm’s Detective Halick, the Leving team finally located the child hundreds of miles away in Tennessee. Overjoyed at learning where his son was, dad quickly traveled to Tennessee, with copies of the critical Court Order the Leving team obtained for him. Father and son were swiftly reunited. Together, they began the journey back home.
But the fight was not over. When the mother learned that the dad had retrieved his son, she reportedly went to the local police and alleged that dad had kidnapped the little boy. The police began preparing to issue an Amber Alert and pursue a warrant for dad’s arrest.
At that critical moment, the Leving legal team intervened. They acted swiftly, communicating directly with law enforcement and presenting the Illinois Court Order granting dad lawful custody of his son. This decisive action prevented a grave injustice. The police recognized the truth—no Amber Alert was issued, and dad was not arrested. Dad and his son were safe back home. This little boy returned to his school, saw his friends, and felt secure knowing that he wouldn’t be taken from his dad and his home ever again.
This court victory modified for publication reunited a loving father and son and protected their future together. It’s also a powerful reminder of what is at stake in these cases—children’s lives, their sense of safety, and the irreplaceable bond with a loving parent. Thanks to the strength of this father, and the relentless dedication of Attorney Arthur Kallow leading the Leving legal team to victory, a child’s life has been restored to where it belongs—at home.
