Hastings thanks the community for their support

State Senator Michael Hastings released a statement expressing his gratitude to voters for returning him to the legislature.

“Life has a way of testing our resolve, but in those moments, we discover our greatest strength. Faith keeps us moving forward, family keeps us grounded, and friends like you remind us that we never walk alone,” said Hastings who was first elected to the Illinois Senate in 2013.

“Last week’s inauguration for the 104th General Assembly was more than just a ceremony—it was a powerful celebration of community, resilience, and purpose.

“Seeing hundreds of family, friends, and supporters like you, who have stood by my side through every step of this journey, was an overwhelming reminder that no challenge is too great when you have people who believe in you.

“Your generous contributions and unwavering belief in our mission are a testament to the future we are building together. This work is bigger than any one of us—it’s about creating opportunities, strengthening our communities, and securing a brighter future for generations to come.

“With your support, I am ready to lead with purpose, serve with heart, and work tirelessly to deliver on the promises we’ve made.

“Thank you for your continued faith and trust. I am grateful to walk this path with you.

“Together, we will make a lasting difference.”

State Senator Michael Hastings, D-19th District.
