Opinion: Edgar County “Watchdogs” continue to exaggerate and mislead facts for political pals
The so-called “newspaper” the “Edgar County Watchdogs” continue to publish misleading and distorted information pimping for their political pals and cronies to attack anyone they disagree with.
The website can’t get their facts right, and they twist and distort FOIA information to make false arguments.
The writers are not journalists but political activists who have been criticized by others familiar with their distortions and one-sided “news” reporting.
The website claims to be a news site but it really is a partisan opinion/commentary site that tries to disguise their partisan opinions as objective news reports, which they are not.
Also, be careful when visiting their website. Too often Norton Security flags links to and from their web page for spam and malware (like the one below from a page posted by the ECW authors). Visiting scam links may expose your personal information.
A link between the Edgar County Times and the Dekalb Times immediately produces this warning:
Be careful. You cannot trust anything they write or “report.” It is very inaccurate and misleading. Biased “media.”
