Ald. Quinn Reminds Seniors to call Ward Office for Help with Snow Removal
Ald. Marty Quinn today reminded seniors in the 13th Ward to call his office for help with snow and ice removal. In light of this week’s extreme weather conditions and more snow predicted for tomorrow, Quinn wants people to be sure they have a plan to stay safe, warm and supported as needed.
Over the past two days, Quinn has helped over 600 older residents with snow and ice removal and plans to help another 600 seniors with tomorrow’s snowfall.
“Chicago is in the midst of a deep freeze and our seniors especially need our assistance,” Quinn said. “I encourage people to call my ward office if they or a family member is in need of help.”
Quinn’s office is the only alderman’s office that offers free snow removal and helps at least 500 seniors each year. Seniors in the ward seeking snow removal help can call 773.581.8000 or 773.581.1313.
