In late April, the Old Navy store located at Orland Park Place experienced a devastating fire.
When the fire broke out, the store’s General Manger, Sara Carroll, was a true hero and quickly managed to make sure all Old Navy employees over 50 customers were safe.
In recognition of her efforts, she was recently given the “Life Saver” award by Mayor Pekau. And on Friday, Mayor Pekau helped the Old Navy team welcome customers back to the store with a special ribbon cutting ceremony.
Since the re-opening this morning, the store has had a steady flow of customers who are happy to see their favorite associates and do some shopping before the Memorial Day holiday, officials said.
