Dad won in court after ex reportedly tried to erase him from daughter’s life

A loving father found himself in a horrifying situation, fearing that he was the victim of parental alienation. Dad reported that his ex constantly interfered with his attempts to be with his 7-year-old daughter and used his little girl to control him.
Desperate to be with his daughter, dad called attorney Jeffery Leving for help. The Leving legal team fought hard for dad and his daughter and won. Dad and his daughter are now able to spend time together without interference.

Dad and his ex were never married and, unfortunately, dad had no court-ordered parenting time with his little girl.
Reportedly, dad’s ex refused to establish a set schedule for visits and would only allow dad to visit at the very last minute. However, when his ex found out that dad brought a new partner into his life, she refused to let dad see his daughter. She cut off all his visitation.
Dad was terrified. He feared that he would never see his daughter again and he was worried about his ex’s alleged manipulations. He called Leving for help, who assured dad his legal team would fight for him and his little girl to win.
The Leving legal team fiercely fought for dad and his daughter. They demonstrated to the court that dad and his little girl have a close bond and that depriving the young child of her father could be extremely damaging to the little girl. The team presented evidence showing that the mother would only allow dad visits at the very last minute, not caring if it interfered with his work schedule. The mother had a reported history of interfering in the relationship between dad and his daughter. They argued that it wasn’t fair that this father and his child be separated just because of tensions in the parents’ relationship. The judge agreed and ordered dad be given substantial parenting time and ordered the mother to maintain insurance for the benefit of the child.
This is an important victory, modified for publication, that protected the bond between dad and his little girl. Dad now has an enforceable parenting time court order and can be with his daughter without fear of interference.
Matrimonial attorney Jeffery M. Leving is the recipient of the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award from the President of the United States. In addition, the Illinois House of Representatives has honored Leving “for his work in safeguarding the rights of fathers and protecting the welfare of children and families in this State,” and the Illinois Senate issued a proclamation recognizing his efforts on behalf of fathers.
