GOP candidate Kaspar says more must be done to fight crime in 6th District

Scott Kaspar, who is running for the Republican Party nomination for the 6th Congressional District, decried the violence and crime that is “out of Control” in the 6th District and in Orland Park, Illinois.

Kaspar founded the The Kaspar/Kerik Public Crime Task Force with acclaimed former New York City Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik, who is credited with championing the fight against crime.

Kerik has endorsed Kaspar saying he would be a leading voice against increasing crime that has plagued areas of Chicagoland including the Southwest Suburbs including Orland Park.

Kaspar released a video where he puts a focus on “the real problem of crime” in Illinois’ 6th Congressional district and indeed all the the Chicago Suburbs.

Although every candidate running for office has declared crime a problem, Kaspar is the only Republican candidate who has created a special Task Force with veteran crime fighters to confront the crime wave that plagues Northern Illinois, the 6th District and Orland Park.

“The failures of Chicago and the negligence of Cook County Prosecutor Kim Foxx and some of our local officials are creating a crisis we must address now,” said Kaspar, who has been vocal in challenging Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx’s lenient policies on accused criminals.

“Some are saying that crime is at a 27-year low in Orland Park. Those of us who live here know that’s not quite true. True, less crimes are being prosecuted, but there’s too much crime happening that never goes before a judge. Something must change now for everyone here in Chicago’s suburbs,” Kaspar said.

“That’s why I teamed up with former New York City Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik to form the Kaspar Public Safety Task Force. The people of the 6th Congressional District need real answers to crime. So working with America’s Crimefighter, Bernard Kerik, I’m going to advance real solutions that bring real results that will lower crime in our district.”

Kaspar said he met with Kerik and Giuliani at Mar-a-lago to discuss ways to fight crime and reduce crime in the 6ht District and region.

“We discussed some of these important issues,” Kaspar said.

“It was so helpful hearing from these men who proved by their accomplishments that crime can be successfully addressed. I learned a lot from these men. And I am grateful for their help. They will be an inspiration as we take on these issues in the 6th Congressional District.”
