Trump trial driven more by politics than truth
There is absolutely no basis for a conviction of President Trump. Being an unpopular, misogynist and a self-centered egotist is not enough to convict someone for the violence that has plagued this country on both sides for the past five years even before Trump. All they are going to do with keep the country divided for the next four years fomenting more anger, more emotion and more divisiveness. It’s the real danger that America faces

Former President Trump is not the most sympathetic person that one can defend. Trump was arrogant and he often exaggerated his own skills constantly patting himself on his back. He often made stupid, ridiculous comments and statements. And although he touted himself as being the most brilliant businessman to ever lead America, he never even came close.
His achievements were mediocre. His past personal issues were shocking. And while he did some good, he certainly won’t be one of our nation’s best presidents — although the biased and racist news media wants you to think that former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton are, when they are not.
But for all of former President Trump’s failings, none of them justify the persecution he is undergoing today. The Democrat-run U.S. Congress and the U.S. Senate hate Trump, mainly because he was an outsider and he stymied most of their programs during his turbulent four years in office. They also blocked his forcing him to issue executive orders to get agendas done.
The Democrats had the basic majority votes to get him impeached once on false charges of conspiring with the Russian government to subvert the election process in 2016, but they didn’t have the votes, the facts nor the evidence to get it to the U.S. Senate for prosecution. Then, after barely winning the election in November 2020, the Democrats took the White House, held on to their seats in the U.S. House and added several seats to undermine the Republican majority and giving them another political chance to attack Trump.
So the Democrats impeached Trump a second time, out of spite and political anger, and because they had the votes in the new U.S. Senate. After Trump left office, they pushed to prosecute him hoping for a conviction on more exaggerated charges that Trump was directly behind urging protestors to turn to violence to disrupt the vote to confirm Joseph Biden as the nation’s president.
Let me repeat that. The Democrats argue he gave orders to his followers to engage in violence and attack members of Congress, an outright fabrication and a political lie.
Yes, Trump is delusional. He thinks he won the election. In fact, Trump lost. Trump had the worst public relations and communications system of any American president. His PR was so bad that he basically helped empower his enemies. His campaign against the racist and bias news media faltered as he continued to turn to them to get his cockeyed stories out to the public. But the truth is that Trump’s supporters didn’t care about his policies. They were drive by a hatred of the Democrats and the Far Left, just as Biden’s supporters were driven by a hatred of the Republicans and the far Right.
The protestors had every right to challenge the certification and to protest, even if the news media claims they did not. The majority of the protestors engaged peacefully but only handful of protestors, like the same handful excused by the news media protesting during Black Lives Matter protests, engaged in violence and destruction. Except there were more BLM looting and violence than what we saw on Jan. 6, 2021.
There is no chance in Hell that Biden will be able to reunite America as he claimed to want to do in his speeches. It’s not going to happen. And one reason it is not going to happen is the unjustified Impeachment Prosecution that is taking place this week, wasting more and more American taxpayer dollars and selfish political agendas.
Trump may have been reckless in his rhetoric, and he may have been wrong about asserting that he won the November 2020 presidential election, claiming it was stolen from him and that Biden’s victory was the result of stolen ballots and voter fraud, but he NEVER urged his supporters to engage in violence and the fact is the MAJORITY of his supporters who protested on Jan. 6, 2021 did not engage in violence.
There was some voter fraud and it is astonishing that the news media wouldn’t really examine it the way they ALWAYS examine allegations of voter fraud. It happens all the time. So while Trump exaggerated his claims that theater fraud had stolen the election from him — it did not — the biased racist news media also exaggerated their claims that there was no voter fraud.
What a hoax that is!
Trump lost and he lost big time. But there was voter fraud. And the battle over those two issues reflects the wide divide that exist sin America between the two sides. There is no middle ground.
I read Trump’s speech before the Jan. 6, 2021 protest at the Capital Building. Trump had every right tot urge his supporters to protest and to rally and to be emotional. But Trump NEVER urged the protestors to engage in violence. Trump used the word “fight” 21 times in his rambling speech that was pure politics and typical of th speeches many Democrats made in encouraging Black Lives Matter protestors to confront the police.

The media continues to turn to one quote in which Trump said:
“And you have to get your people to fight. And if they don’t fight, we have to primary the hell out of the ones that don’t fight. You primary them. We’re going to. We’re going to let you know who they are. I can already tell you, frankly. But this year, using the pretext of the China virus and the scam of mail-in ballots, Democrats attempted the most brazen and outrageous election theft and there’s never been anything like this. So pure theft in American history. Everybody knows it.”
But Trump was clear in calling for a “peaceful” rally, saying at the end of his speech, “Because you’ll never take back our country with weakness. You have to show strength and you have to be strong. We have come to demand that Congress do the right thing and only count the electors who have been lawfully slated, lawfully slated. I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard. Today we will see whether Republicans stand strong for integrity of our elections. But whether or not they stand strong for our country, our country. Our country has been under siege for a long time. Far longer than this four-year period. We’ve set it on a much greater course. So much, and we, I thought, you know, four more years. I thought it would be easy.”
Trump has an absolute right to assert that the election was stolen. That is his free speech, a free speech guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution. A free speech denied to a President by greedy corporate robber barons at Twitter who unbelievably have the power to silence an American President. Twitter’s corporate thieves are the crooks. They should be prosecuted if anyone should.
But Trump never urged anyone to use violence.
There were nearly 500,000 protestors in Washington D.C. chanting for Trump. About 1,000 were involved in trying to occupy the Congress. Those who destroyed property and who injured or killed people were arrested and should have been arrested and deserve to be prosecuted for taking their protests too far.
The only thing the Democrats have is the emotion of that day portrayed in cleverly edited videos that show the worst parts of Trump’s remarks, the most violent aspects of a small group of the larger peaceful protestors, and a lot of political bullshit to smear one side int he hopes of taking control of this country.
But the Democrats don’t have control of this country. What they have control of is the legislature and just over half the population, and the biased news media. While they have a majority, for now, their actions constitute the “Tyranny of the Majority” that many of our founding forefathers cautioned could undermine this Democratic Nation.
The Democrats will scream, cry, exaggerate their arguments and call Trump all kinds of names. But they need 67 votes in the Senate or, 17 Republicans to abandon their party to support this political lynching of an unpopular president. They have about 10, including Liz Cheney, the daughter of one of the most corrupt Vice President’s this country has ever seen, and Adam Kinzinger, a do-nothing member of Congress who has seen an opportunity to advance himself in the anger and distractions.
When the impeachment is over, and failed, all we will have left is the destruction of a country, divided and in disarray at a time when we really need a leader who can bring everyone together. So far, Biden and the Democrats are not even close to do that. They don’t want unity. They want surrender.
