Iowa caucus disaster smells like another effort to get Sanders

The Iowa Caucus debacle and the long delays in tabulating the final winners and losers has thrown the Democratic process in to a loop giving one apparent loser, Joe Biden, some wiggle room to avoid the negative publicity with his running only 4th — a former Vice President who can’t even be in the top two? The debacle also has pulled the rug out from Bernie Sanders, again, and it’s hards not to believe that somehow the Democratic National Committee, DNC, isn’t behind all of this.

By Ray Hanania

The Iowa Caucus this year should beware.

It took nearly two years before we really knew what had happened during the 2016 Democratic primary election process to deny Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders the party nomination. Hillary Clinton beat Sanders but in large part only did so because she and her husband and their cohorts controlled the DNC and did everything possible to undercut Sanders, denying him funding, support and an equal footing.

The system was heavily slanted to benefit Hillary Clinton who went into the 2016 election like Queen Elizabeth Tudor taking out her older half-sister Mary Stuart to ensure her control of the Crown. Hillary had this air of entitlement handed down to her by her husband and his entourage of political sycophants.

This year, Joe Biden, the former Vice President under Clinton, has claimed the Clinton Dynasty Mantle, mainly because he best represents the Clintonian Doctrine of self-aggrandizement and ego. He also represents an intended insulation to protect the Clinton Old Guard as the radical left rises. Biden has already trashed Sanders as a “Democratic Socialist” implying an anti-American stigma to the label.

Sanders and South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg blew Biden out of the Iowa waters on Tuesday night, the first election primary) really “a caucus.” Under normal circumstances, pundits would be proclaiming Biden’s candidacy DOA as a result of running 4th behind Sanders, Buttigieg and even Elizabeth Warren, who also trailed far behind the two leaders.

But because the Iowa caucus counting system crashed, Biden did not get hammered. Instead, the focus was on who would actually win, stretching out the final vote tally for days that even at this writing two days later is still incomplete. That uncertainty put a spotlight on Iowa, whose Democratic Party asserted the problem stems from a poorly crafted App.

Worse is that even days later, most of America was so confused that no one knew if Sanders of Buttigieg had won, a slam against Sanders who was leading the field. The confusion portrayed Buttigieg as being a strong challenger to Sanders in the uncertainty of the failed system and inconclusive results.

The Iowa Democratic Party is a part and parcel of the DNC. They take marching orders from the DNC, the same DNC that tanked Sanders in 2016 to give Hillary Clinton an unobstructed path to the November 2016 election which she lost embarrassingly to newcomer and reality show businessman Donald Trump. Clinton believed she was going to win, believes she deserved to win and believe she was better than everyone, an attitude that reflected off of her like bright lights in a night fog.

Had the vote tallies come in as they normally do on late Tuesday night, the big story would have been that Biden was blown out of the water, along with Warren, and that Sanders and Buttigieg leave with a significant boost that could help them ride into the upcoming state primaries, most of which are in March.

Is the DNC responsible for the screwup? Was it done on purpose?

No one wanted to believe that the DNC tanked Sanders in 2016 and it took several years for the truth to finally come out. The deception, the bias, and the insider politicking and backroom deals that pulled the rug out from under Sanders and orchestrated a primary advantage for Hillary Clinton.

Why should we wait two more years to learn the truth now?

You can bet that Biden has already brushed off the Iowa primary as an anomaly and he is hoping to makeup for his loses by now stepping up his attacks on Sanders, who should be enjoying a lead in the election but instead is being left in uncertainty as some media are reporting that Buttigieg may beat him, creating even more uncertainty about the whole process.

Either way, the whole debacle has given President Trump an advantage, citing the Iowa Democratic mess-up as an example of what will happen if the Democrats take control of the White House by unseating him in November 2020.

Trump makes a good argument.
