Allgauer’s on the Riverfront offers Thanksgiving alternative with specialty brunch

ALLGAUER’S ON THE RIVERFRONT WELCOMES THANKSGIVING DINERS WITH A SPECIALTY BRUNCH BUFFET AND HOLIDAY DINNER MENU. From Roasted Turkey to Chef-Made Pies, the North Shore Dining Favorite is Offering Something Scrumptious for Every Member of the Family to Enjoy.

Gobble ‘til you Wobble! The North Shore family favorite of nearly 40 years, Allgauer’s on the Riverfront, 2855 Milwaukee Ave., is encouraging families to spend less time in the kitchen this Thanksgiving and more time making memories with their annual brunch buffet and special holiday dinner menu on Thursday, November 28.

Featuring over 100 decadent items from French Toast to Honey Baked Ham, the restaurant’s holiday brunch offers the perfect home-cooked Thanksgiving meal for patrons to enjoy without all the hassle. Guests are invited to dine overlooking the scenic Des Plaines River for both brunch from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for $48 per adult and $22 per child (ages 4-10 years old), and for their dinner special available from 6-8 p.m.

To kick off the holiday the right way, Allgauer’s brunch buffet will feature plenty of enticing options to please every palate. Guests looking to start the day with some adult beverages may take advantage of the unlimited champagne and mimosas for just $48 per person.

For those looking to skip right to the feast, traditional entree items will include Roasted Turkey, Honey Baked Ham drizzled with a pineapple glaze; Chef Carved Beef, Sliced Pork Loin and Chicken Carbonara. Seafood-based entrees feature Poached Salmon, Oysters on the Half Shell, Snow Crab Legs and Easy Peel Shrimp. Traditional brunch must-haves will also be offered including Eggs Benedict, French Toast and an Omelet Station tailored to each individual’s preferences. To make sure everyone’s favorite dish is accounted for, the buffet will include a diverse array of side dishes including Sage Stuffing, Candied Sweet Potatoes, Corn Casserole, Green Bean Casserole andCheese and Vegetable Crudités. Guests with a sweet tooth may indulge in Chef-Made Pies, Cheesecake and so much more.

Guests that opt for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner will be delighted by their choice of a starter, entrée and dessert. For the first course, diners have the option of soup or salad, followed by a choice between a Traditional Turkey Dinnerserved with dried fruit sachet, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans and cranberry sauce; Grilled Salmontopped with a red wine butter sauce and accompanied by freshly made cranberry, potato cakes and sautéed asparagus; and Stuffed Pork Loin with a maple butter pecan sauce, apple pear cranberry stuffing, mashed sweet potatoes and sautéed Brussels Sprouts with bacon. Dessert lovers will rejoice as they receive the option of Pumpkin Pie, Pecan Pie or Pumpkin Cheesecake.

Seating times for the Thanksgiving brunch are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and priced at $48 for adults and $22 (ages 4-10 years old). Children 4 and under dine for free. The dinner menu is available from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving and pricing varies by plate. Reservations are required for both the Thanksgiving brunch and dinner.
