Support Muslim Radio show 820 AM fundraiser on July 29 in Bolingbrook

Radio talkshow host Mohammed Faheem is hosting a fundraiser dinner banquet on Wednesday evening, July 29, 2026 at the Bolingbrook Community Center, 201 Canterbury Lane to support the Lightning Strike Radio Show broadcast every Sunday morning at 8 AM in WCPT 820 AM Radio.

The Lightning Strike Radio Show is the only radio show that addresses Muslim and Arab issues with guests in its broader programming which speaks to all of the important regional issues locally, statewide, nationally and internationally.

Every week, The Lightning Strike brings you the conversations others avoid, asks the difficult questions, and gives a platform to voices that deserve to be heard. We are independent because we answer to our listeners, not to corporations, PACs, or special interests.

“I have been involved in journalism for a half century since 1976 working at daily newspapers, covering Chicago City Hall and hosting my own radio show on WLS AM in the 1980s and 1990s. Mohammed’s program, The Lightning Strike, today is the only professional radio show that not only addresses mainstream issues including politics and social trends, but it also includes discussions and reports on news of importance to Muslims and Arabs, minorities in American that are not only vilified by many American politicians, foreign nations and often limited to superficial coverage by the mainstream news media,” said award winning journalist Ray Hanania, who will serve as the evening Emcee.

“Those who have listened to the show knows that Mohammed Faheem is both objective and fair but stroing in advocating for justice, freedom and what is fair and right. The two hour program needs your help and I urge everyone either to purchase a ticket and attend, or make a donation to strengthen our voice.”

Hanania said The Lightning Strike program is one of the only radio shows that addresses the issues of most interests not only to Muslims and Arabs but also to all Americans.

“Faheem and his co-hosts address issues that are so important to us as Americans in a way that often is not addressed by other media. It’s important that his voice remains strong and forceful and is a part of the media options that everyday Americans cana access to understand all of the issues they face,” Hanania said.

“IU am happy to support Mohammed Faheem’s The Lightning STrike Radio SHow every sunday from 8 AM until 10 AM on the progressive radio station WCPT 820 AM Radio. There is no other program like it. It is essential and the voices he brings on help the public become more educated and understanding of the issues that impact their lives.”

But independence comes at a cost.

Producing a high quality, commercial free radio program requires resources, and we need your help to keep this mission alive.
