Leving Legal Team Frees Father and Daughter from Fear
By Laura Reichel
A Chicago father lived in fear for his own safety and for the safety of his five-year-old daughter too after a reported violent attack by his ex.
Desperate to protect himself and his little girl, he called attorney Leving for help.
The Leving legal team fought hard and won, securing an Emergency Order of Protection from the court that forbade the mother from having any contact with him and his daughter.
Chicago based matrimonial attorney Jeffery Leving, President of the Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving Ltd., will talk about this important court victory on the Dads’ Rights Legal Hour, 9-10 a.m. CDT Saturday, March 28th on Power 92.3 FM.

Dad and his ex lived together with their daughter, but their relationship had become extremely volatile. Dad reported that his ex would often erupt in violent outbursts, even in front of their little girl. His breaking point came when dad alleged that, in a violent rage, the mother struck him with a bourbon bottle in the head during an argument. Shaken and afraid for both his and his daughter’s lives, he turned to the Leving legal team for help.
The Leving legal team assured dad that they would fight to safeguard his and his daughter’s safety and future and scheduled an emergency consultation.
Time was of the essence – the Leving legal team had to act fast and that’s exactly what they did. They petitioned the court for an Emergency Order of Protection, presenting compelling evidence of the mother’s alleged abuse and her reported history of physical and verbal violence against dad.
The Leving team argued that the little girl must be included in the Order of Protection to prevent harm and ensure that she could remain safe with her father—free from fear or manipulation. They won. The judge agreed with their arguments and granted the Emergency Order of Protection, awarded dad custody of his little girl, and barred the mother from contacting or approaching dad and his daughter.
This powerful court victory modified for publication protected a devoted father and his daughter from harm and stands as a testament to our firm’s enduring mission: to fight for children, fathers, and the safety and hope every family deserves. Dad can now live in peace with his daughter, free from fear, and secure in the safety of their home.
