Dad and his ex were divorced, with dad being the primary caretaker of their three-year-old son. Despite a tense relationship with his ex, dad never denied her parenting time and allowed her to have unsupervised visits with their son. However, dad quickly regretted his decision after his ex failed to return with his son. Dad learned that the mother was moving to Arizona with their little boy. Dad feared that his ex had abused his trust and kidnapped his son – leaving Illinois to disappear somewhere in Arizona.
Desperate, dad called attorney Jeffery Leving for help. He was terrified of never seeing his son again, especially since his ex refused to answer his calls and he had no idea where in Arizona she had fled to. Attorney Leving assured dad the Leving legal team would fight for his and his little boy, and they did and won.
The Leving legal team immediately went to court and presented an Emergency Petition to have dad’s son returned to him. They argued that the father had been the little boy’s primary caretaker and that the mother, despite dad allowing her unsupervised visits, rarely visited the child. Furthermore, the mother had a reported history of exposing the little boy to unsafe living conditions. Dad feared this would put his young child in extreme danger, as the little boy would be in an unknown place with potentially unknown people and far away from the comfort and safety of his father’s home. The judge immediately ordered that the child be returned to his father and ordered that authorities from the State of Arizona assist dad in locating his son. The little boy was soon located, and dad and his son were quickly reunited.
This is a tremendous court victory, modified for publication, that reunited a loving father with his little boy. Thanks to this victory, dad’s son is safe at home with dad, where he belongs.
