Bridgeview police arrest suspect in 2023 and 2024 Jewelry store heists
On July 13 2023, the Jawahir Jewelry store (8454 S. Harlem ) was the victim of an armed robbery. On January 09 2024, the Jerusalem Jewelry store (9070 S. Harlem) was also robbed.
Both of these store suffered substantial losses. Both of these occurrences occurred in Bridgeview Illinois.
The Bridgeview Police department, along with our state’s Illinois Attorney Generals Office, and the FBI, worked together tirelessly in bringing to justice one of the offenders involved in these cases.
On Friday Sept. 20, 2024, the Bridgeview Police Department along with the FBI and Attorney General’s Office executed multiple search warrants and arrest warrants in the 10600 block of Major Ave in Chicago Ridge, IL.

The offender, Emad Elayyan, who was sought in the arrest warrants was located at his residence and placed in custody this morning shortly before 10AM.
Elayyan was then transported back to the Bridgeview Police Department. Elayyan was processed and charged with two (2) counts of Armed Robbery w/firearm (Class X) and is currently awaiting a bond hearing tomorrow morning.
Charges were approved at 1110hrs this date.
