No one injured in structure fire at 135th an Harlem, Al-Hayba Hookah Lounge
At 5:06 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21, 2023, companies of the Orland Fire Protection District and Palos Heights Fire District dispatched in response to a possible structure fire at the Al-Hayba Hookah Lounge, 13500 S Harlem Ave (formerly the Ale House) on the southwest corner.
Palos Heights FPD arrived on the scene and reported fire showing through a 2nd floor window on the west side of the commercial structure.
The incident was upgraded to a full-still rural water response due to lack of hydrants in the area. Crews attacked the fire with the use of 2 hand lines and had the fire under control in approximately 20-30 minutes after dispatch.
A search of the structure found no victims or occupants.

The fire was extinguished with the help of multiple surrounding departments including, the Tinley Park Fire Department, Crestwood Fire Department, Alsip Fire Department, Lemont Fire Department, Frankfort Fire Department, North Palos Fire Department, Homer Fire Department and NW Homer Fire Department.
There were no reported injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
