Lyons President Getty discusses public service career at Cicero Schools program

Mayor Chris Getty of the Village of Lyons presented to four classes of 5th grade students at Theodore Roosevelt Elementary School in the Town of Cicero in participation with the elementary schools’ career day celebrations at the end of the school year in late May. 
Mayor Getty spoke about being the elected Mayor of Lyons and answered questions by many of the students.
With his presentation he gave out sunglasses to each of the students who asked or answered a question. 
“I really had a great time interacting with the students and I enjoyed educating them on what a Mayor does for their community,” Mayor Getty said.
