Cook County Commissioner Frank J. Aguilar Opens Satellite Office in Leyden Township

The office, which will be staffed on the first Tuesday of each month, will allow for Commissioner Aguilar and his office to increase constituent services for Leyden Township residents

On Tuesday, May 16th, Cook County Commissioner Frank J. Aguilar joined Leyden Township officials to kick-off Commissioner Aguilar’s new Leyden Township satellite office.

The event included elected officials, community organizations, and residents from throughout the 16th District.

This “Cook County Open House” was held to promote Commissioner Aguilar’s new office and to highlight the increased constituent services that will be provided to Leyden Township residents.

“Accessibility must be centered in everything we do,” said Commissioner Aguilar.

On Tuesday, May 16th, Cook County Commissioner Frank J. Aguilar joined Leyden Township officials to kick-off Commissioner Aguilar’s new Leyden Township satellite office. The event included elected officials, community organizations, and residents from throughout the 16th District.

Commissioner Aguilar added, “This satellite office will allow for my administration to work closely with Leyden Township residents and officials alike to make sure their needs are covered and that resources are continued to be provided.  Our district is wide and diverse, and so between our regular office in Lyons and this new satellite opportunity in Leyden Township, we will be able to be easily accessible to all 16th District residents. I’d like to thank Leyden Township Supervisor Rocco Biscalgio for his gracious offer to host us, and look forward to continuing our partnership.”

The event was held at the Carl Fiorito Senior Center in Franklin Park, which will also be the location of the satellite office.  Before the general public arrived at 5:00PM, Commissioner Aguilar was joined by Leyden Supervisor Rocco Biscaglio and Franklin Park Mayor Barrett Pedersen for a brief press conference, where they highlighted the importance of this new office and the impact of increased constituent services in the area.  After the press conference, elected officials, community organizations, local community leaders, and 16th District residents mixed and mingled, discussing ways to support each other and how they can all work together to further the supply of resources to Leyden Township residents.

On Tuesday, May 16th, Cook County Commissioner Frank J. Aguilar joined Leyden Township officials to kick-off Commissioner Aguilar’s new Leyden Township satellite office. The event included elected officials, community organizations, and residents from throughout the 16th District.

“Leyden Township welcomes Cook County Commissioner Frank J. Aguilar to the Leyden Township community,” said Leyden Township Supervisor Rocco Biscaglio.  “We appreciate Commissioner Aguilar’s commitment to Leyden Township and constituents of the 16th District to be top priority.  A large portion of Leyden Township falls within the boundaries of Commissioner Aguilar’s district, and we know this partnership with Commissioner Aguilar is designed to increase our influence and deepen our connections. When we come together around common goals, we truly can empower our communities to thrive. We are excited to have his satellite office in our Town Hall and look forward to a number of joint events together in the future.”

This satellite office will administer the same functions as Commissioner Aguilar’s regular office in Lyons, but with an extra emphasis on Leyden Township initiatives.  Residents should expect in-depth constituent services, such as help with their homeowner exemptions, while also receiving updates on county resources.  This office, and the accessibility it will bring to residents, will also lead to an increase in partnerships in Leyden Township with other Cook County departments, such as the Cook County Sheriff’s Department and Cook County’s Health Network.  The office will be staffed on the first Tuesday of each month.

“Government services at all levels should be easily accessible. The collaboration between Leyden Township and Commissioner Aguilar’s office is a great example of expanding County level services and bringing them to where the people are,” said Illinois State Representative Norma Hernandez.

Residents who wish to learn more about Commissioner Aguilar’s Leyden Township office and its functions are encouraged to reach out to “[email protected]”.  We urge all residents throughout Leyden Township and the surrounding areas to take advantage of this opportunity and use the office to access resources or information on any Cook County needs.

“I would like to thank Commissioner Frank Aguilar for locating his new District Office in Leyden Township,” stated Franklin Park Mayor Barrett Pedersen. “This resource will be of great benefit to the citizens and businesses of Franklin Park.  It is comforting to know that representation at the county board will be so close.”
