Two passengers killed in car-semi collision in Bridgeview
Bridgeview Police closed 79th and Roberts Road intersection on Saturday July 16, 2022 following car-semi crash involving two fatalities and a car traveling more than 115 MPH that struck the semi. The intersection where the accident occurred was closed and will remain closed most of the day because of the crash
Bridgeview Illinois police have closed the intersection of 79th and Roberts Road following a collision involving a passenger vehicle traveling more than 115 MPH from the Palos area striking a semi truck at around 4:20 AM Saturday (July 16, 2022) morning.
Two passengers (male and female) in the car were killed. Two others including the female driver survived with minor injuries, along with the semi truck driver
Police have closed the intersection at 79th and Roberts Road and will remain closed with occasional efforts to manage traffic through the site as the investigation continues. this morning.
Police have not released the names of the victims pending family notification. No charges have been filed as of news posting.
