Town President Larry Dominick decorates Town hall for Christmas
By Alejandra Hererra
Santa’s elves have been busy working in Cicero. They just finished putting up the many Christmas trees at Town Hall. Today if you drive by or visit us you can admire all the decorated trees, lights, deer and all the many decorations. The Christmas spirit has completely taken over Cicero. Thank you, Santa!
Town President Larry Dominick and the Town of Cicero Board Clerk Maria Punzo-Arias, Supervisor Joe Virruso, Assessor Emilio Cundari, Collector Fran Reitz, and Trustees Larry Banks, Bob Porod, Victor Garcia and John Cava celebrated the placement of the holiday decorations during the last Town Board meeting.
“Christmas is one of our favorite holiday celebrations and we give blessings for all that we are able to accomplish for our residents,” Dominick said.
Upcoming festive events include a Military Holiday Dinner hosted by Military Families of Cicero United on December 4th. Multiple senior trips are being scheduled to the Holiday Magic light festival at Brookfield Zoo. The Annual Senior Christmas Party will be held on December 13th.
Please contact Senior Activities to sign up. In addition, the Annual Christmas Posada is also being held on December 13th. Of course, Santa did not forget about our four-legged pets. On December 21st, Waggin’ Tails Animal Shelter will offer a low-cost pet vaccination clinic. If you bring a donation your furry friend will receive a complimentary photo with Santa Paws! All of these services are cash only.
Please remember Town Hall will be closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. For more information in regard to any of these upcoming events, please check out our monthly newsletter The Cicero Town News. The Newsletter is available at Town Hall.
Merry Christmas!
