Son stabs mother to death in Lyons
A 38-year-old Lyons man was charged Thursday with First Degree Murder and Attempted First Degree Murder in the stabbing death of his mother and injury of his sister.
Brian Hahn, of 4048 Anna Avenue in Lyons was arrested on Wednesday, March 6, 2019, after stabbing his mother, Anastasia Hahn, 65, killing her, and stabbing and seriously injuring his sister, Cynthia Hahn, 33.
The arrest and charges were filed in conjunction with investigative support from the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force. Cynthia Hahn was taken to Loyola Hospital where she was treated and released.
The charges were approved by the Cook County States Attorney’s office Thursday afternoon.
The accused, Brian Hahn, appeared in Cook County Bond court in Bridgeview Thursday afternoon but was denied bond by Judge John Mahoney.
