Hurley Holds Business Attire Clothing Drive to Benefit Local Non-profit
State Rep. Fran Hurley, D-Chicago, is holding her 6th Annual Business Attire Clothing Drive this year for young adults from November 29 to December 14. Hurley is encouraging residents in the community to donate new and gently used business clothing attire to benefit the Mercy Home for Boys and Girls’ Post-Secondary Options and Career Resources Program. Last year, Hurley’s collection resulted in over 500 items being donated.
Items can be dropped off Hurley’s Chicago offices Monday through Friday. The constituent service office located at 10400 S. Western Avenue will be accepting donations from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; and the office located at 3207 W. 111th Street will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for donation drop-off.
“I am proud to be able to help contribute to enhancing career readiness for young adults at Mercy Home for Boys and Girls. The donated items will help program participants put their best foot forward in the workplace during the beginning of their careers,” said Hurley.
