Orland Township supports food pantries through local retailers

Orland Township Food Pantry and Meijer Partner Through Retailer’s Simply Give Food Pantry Donation Program

The Orland Township Food Pantry is proud to announce a partnership with Meijer this spring to provide much-needed hunger relief to local families through the Grand Rapids, Mich.-based retailer’s customer-driven food pantry donation program, Simply Give.

“The Orland Township Food Pantry plays a vital role in our community,” said Marianne Hill, Orland Township Food Pantry Coordinator. “The Simply Give Program is a wonderful way to help support the Orland Township Food Pantry.”

The program encourages customers to purchase $10 Simply Give donation cards, which are then converted into Meijer food-only gift cards and given to a local food pantry in the store’s community.

The Orland Township Food Pantry will benefit from donation cards purchased at the Orland Park Meijer store located at 15701 71st Ct, Orland Park, IL now through June 18. Double match days are scheduled for June 2 and 3 at the Orland Park Meijer location. Every Simply Give donation on those days will be doubled to help in the fight against hunger.

The Orland Township Food Pantry serves close to 300 families a month.
