Senator Porfirio applauds more than $20 million in infrastructure repairs coming to the 11th District
State Senator Mike Porfirio secured over $20 million to support infrastructure improvements and construction in the 11th Senate District.
“Good quality roads, highways and transportation networks are the foundation for a safe community,” said Porfirio (D-Lyons Township).
“The Rebuild Illinois projects are not only investments in safety – they will also improve connectivity and economic growth for our community.”
The largest multi-year program to build and repair infrastructure in state history will invest $50.6 billion over six years, continuing an unprecedented investment in safety, mobility and quality of life made possible by the bipartisan Rebuild Illinois capital program.

The Illinois Department of Transportation’s new multi-year program is both comprehensive and multimodal, with investments in roads and bridges, aviation, transit, freight and passenger rail, waterways, and bicycle and pedestrian accommodations touching every Illinois county.
IDOT’s latest Multi-Year Plan under Rebuild Illinois will allocate more than $20 million across 10 different projects in Porfirio’s district.
