Sean Casten launches new TV Ad slamming extremists in 6th District race
U.S. Congressman Sean Casten (D-IL) released a new TV Ad Monday Oct. 24, 2022 that highlighting his opponent’s extreme anti-choice views, like his support of overturning Roe and letting states pass a ban on abortion with zero exceptions for rape or incest.
The Ad will run on cable and broadcast through Election Day as part of the campaign’s seven-figure Ad buy.
Casten is running for re-election in the newly drawn 6th Congressional District and faces a challenge from a far right Republican extremist, Keith Pekau, whose public office record has been based on viciously attacking individuals with whom he disagrees.
Casten, on the other hand, has built alliances expanding representation in the region seeking to support free expression and moderate centrist political programs that serve everyone’s interests.

Dr. Maliha Sayla, OB/GYN: As a doctor, I can tell you the Supreme Court’s decision to reverse Roe v. Wade has and will continue to cost women their health and some their lives. Keith Pekau agrees with the Supreme Court and wants to go even further. Bans on abortion with zero exceptions for rape or incest. Bans that Pekau supports will criminalize women’s reproductive care and endanger their health. It’s already happening in other states. Give Pekau the power, and it could happen here too.
The election contest has Casten leading in the new 6th District, which includes Orland Park, Oak Lawn, Palos Heights, Darrien, Downers Grove, Lisle, Lombard, Orland Hills and parks of Tinley Park, Evergreen Park and Chicago’s far southwest side.
Casten was first elected in 2018 defeating radical incumbent Congressman Peter J. Roskam and won in 2020 defeating rightwing extremist Jeannie Ives.
