CLE at Leving firm to focus on John Madden’s hearsay exceptions to children’s testimony in order of protection hearings
The Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving Ltd. will host the next presentation of the Arthur S. Kallow Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Seminar Series on Tuesday, June 21 at 6:30 p.m. CDT at 19 S. LaSalle St. in Chicago, and via Zoom.
Matrimonial attorney John R. Madden will be the keynote speaker. His topic will be: “Children’s hearsay statements in order of protection hearings.”
“Certain hearsay statements of children can be necessary in order of protection hearings,” says Jeffrey L. Paustian, practice manager at the Leving firm.
“At times, it makes sense to admit hearsay statements to safeguard children and adult victims of domestic violence.”
Jeffery M. Leving, founder and president of the firm, will facilitate the session.
The presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer session.
The Kallow CLE Seminar Series, which began in 2014, provides legal education to family law attorneys and other professionals looking to expand their legal knowledge. CLE credit will be awarded.
