Hanania launches second season of Arab Radio show in Chicago
Veteran journalist and columnist Ray Hanania returns to radio this week expanding his syndicated radio show to include Chicago on WNWI AM 1080 radio. “The Ray Hanania Radio Show,” hosted by the U.S. Arab Radio Network in Dearborn, Michigan, will broadcast live every Wednesday WNZK AM 690 Radio in Greater Detroit including parts of Ohio; WDMV AM 700 in Washington DC including parts of Virginia and Maryland; WTOR AM 770 Radio in Upper New York and Ontario, Canada, and rebroadcast on Thursday at 12 NOON on WNWI AM 1080 radio in Chicago
Veteran Chicagoland columnist Ray Hanania returns to live radio syndication every Wednesday at 5 PM and includes a rebroadcast of the hour-long show in the Chicago region on Thursday at 12 noon on WNWI AM 1080 radio.
“The Ray Hanania Radio Show,” is hosted by the U.S. Arab Radio Network in Dearborn, Michigan, will broadcast every Wednesday on three radio stations in Detroit, Washington D.C. and Upper New York and Ontario, Canada.
The live radio stations include: WNZK AM 690 Radio in Greater Detroit including parts of Ohio; WDMV AM 700 in Washington DC including parts of Virginia and Maryland; WTOR AM 770 Radio in Upper New York and Ontario, Canada.
The show will be re-broadcast the next day on Thursdays, at 12 noon on WNWI AM 1080, which covers the greater Chicagoland region and has a strong signal throughout Chicago including in the region’s Arab American populations including Orland Park, Bridgeview, Burbank, Palos Heights, Worth and Oak Lawn.
“I am very excited to be back on the radio airwaves and to include Chicagp, where I am based, in the new lineup of four radio stations,” Hanania said.
“The focus is on the Arab American community, and often marginalized constituency in this country. We’re veterans, police officers, firefighters, lawyers, doctors, dentists, small and large business people and we play a strong and active role in making thiis country great. But oftentimes, many people only recognize the stereotypes about us and don’t know enough about who we really area.”
The second season of “The Ray Hanania Show” is hosted by the U.S. Arab Radio Network in Dearborn and and the radio Network’s president, Laila Alhusini. The show is sponsored by Arab News, which is the leading English Language newspaper in the Middle East region.

In 1977, Hanania was hired by the Daily Southtown to cover Chicago City Hall from and in 1985 continued City Hall political coverage and opinion column writing for the Chicago Sun-Times.
