Little Girl Rescued from Feared Danger and Reunited with Dad
By Laura Reichel
A frightened dad called Chicago attorney and fathers’ rights advocate Jeffery M. Leving for help after his worst fears came true: his ex took his eight-year-old daughter from him and vanished. Dad feared his little girl was at risk and that he would never see her again.
The Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving Ltd. fought for them and won, reuniting dad and his daughter.
Chicago-based matrimonial attorney Jeffery Leving, President of the Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving Ltd., will talk about this important case victory and more on the Dads’ Rights Legal Hour, 9-10 a.m. CDT Saturday, November 1st on Power 92.3 FM.

Dad had initially contacted attorney Leving and his team to find his daughter, recover her, and protect her. Dad reported that the child’s mother was living just over the Illinois border, with an alleged violent and dangerous ex-offender. Dad feared that the mother would never return his daughter to him. He was terrified she was in danger.
This dad was assured that the Leving legal team was very experienced in handling such complex and high-risk cases, and that they would fight for his daughter.
However, the case quickly became even more complex. A few days after retaining the Leving firm, dad was served by law enforcement with an Emergency Order of Protection that the mother obtained against him in court, without giving dad or his counsel any prior notice that she was even going into court!
In her Petition for an Emergency Order of Protection, the mother made several inflammatory allegations against dad that were reportedly false. The Emergency Order of Protection ordered dad to have no contact with his own daughter! Dad was scared, thinking that his little girl could be exposed to physical and emotional abuse at the hands of the mother’s live-in boyfriend and he could not protect her.
The Leving legal team acted quickly and immediately rushed into court on an emergency basis, requesting the court to vacate the Emergency Order of Protection and to return the child to dad and to the home, family, school and friends the little girl was accustomed to. They argued that the Emergency Order of Protection should never have been ordered by the court in the first place because the mother’s allegations were not true, and because the mother had improperly used an Order of Protection to obtain custody of the child. The Leving team argued that dad’s daughter could be at risk of great harm living with the mother and her live-in boyfriend. The judge agreed with their arguments and vacated the Emergency Order of Protection so dad and his daughter could be reunited.
This was an important court victory modified for publication that reunited a loving dad with his daughter. Now that the Emergency Order of Protection has been vacated, dad can provide his daughter with his care and protection.
