Orland Park Police Department Investigating Fatal Hit-and-Run
The Orland Park Police Department is actively investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred on July 11, 2025, at approximately 11:40 pm, in the vicinity of the 18400 block of LaGrange Rd.
Officers responded to the scene after receiving reports of a traffic crash wherein a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers located an unresponsive male victim in the roadway.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by emergency medical personnel.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the victim was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene immediately following the collision.
Detectives are currently reviewing surveillance footage and seeking witnesses who may have observed the incident or have information about the suspect vehicle.
“This is a tragic event, and we are doing everything possible to identify and apprehend the individual responsible for this senseless act,” said Eric Rossi, Chief of the Orland Park Police Department.
“We urge anyone with information to come forward and help us bring justice to the victim and their family.”
