Leving team protected two little boys, keeping them safe at home with dad

By Laura Richel

A father’s greatest fear is losing his children forever. For many fathers, this fear risks becoming a reality especially if dad and the mother of the children have separated.

This was the case for a worried father, who feared that his ex would take his sons away from him to another state to live with an unknown man, a complete stranger to him and his children.

Dad immediately called attorney Jeffery Leving for help to protect his children. The Leving legal team fought to protect dad and his children.

Chicago matrimonial attorney Jeffery Leving, President of the Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving Ltd. will talk about this important case on the Dads’ Rights Legal Hour, 9-10 a.m. CDT Saturday, March 22nd on Power 92.3 FM. This show segment will be available for download on the Dads’ Rights Legal Hour Spotify page on dadsrights.com.

Dad has two young sons, ages eight and nine, whom he co-parented with his ex. In the beginning, there were no issues between dad and his ex when it came to abiding by the set parenting schedule. It wasn’t until his ex returned from a work trip that dad began fearing for his children’s safety.

Dad and the children’s mother had agreed that the boys would stay with their father while the mother was on her trip and then would resume the normal parenting schedule. After her return, it was reported that the mother’s behavior became increasingly erratic and vindictive. It was further reported that she began threatening dad that she would take his sons away from him and move to another state to live with her new boyfriend, a man neither dad nor the boys had ever met.

Dad’s terror reached its peak. Fearing that his ex would not return with his children, and he would lose them forever, dad immediately called attorney Jeffery Leving for help. Attorney Leving assured this terrified father that the Leving legal team would fight for him and his sons. They did.

The Leving legal team immediately went to court to fight on behalf of dad and his children. They argued about the risk in allowing dad’s ex to leave the state of Illinois with the children to where her new boyfriend lived, after she had threatened to take the boys away from their nurturing father. Furthermore, the Leving team pointed out that neither dad nor the two boys had ever met the mother’s new boyfriend and how unsafe and risky it was for the children to be with a complete stranger in a state far away from their dad. The judge agreed with the Leving team’s arguments and ordered that the boys not be removed from the state of Illinois. They won.

This was an important court victory, modified for publication, that helped protect dad’s sons and prevented the children from being ripped away from their loving father. Dad no longer fears losing his boys nor does he fear for their safety. The little boys are safe and back at home with their dad, instead of miles away with a stranger in another state.

Matrimonial attorney Jeffery M. Leving is the recipient of the U.S. President’s Lifetime Achievement Award. In addition, the Illinois House of Representatives has honored Leving “for his work in safeguarding the rights of fathers and protecting the welfare of children and families in this State,” and the Illinois Senate issued a proclamation recognizing his efforts on behalf of fathers.
